Yalumba Y Series Pinot Grigio 2012
89 points
The recipe reads like an expensive boutique wine: selectively hand picked with several passes through some vineyards, wild yeast fermented on full solids and kept on lees until final blending. The result is elegant, textural and crunchy, contrasting subtle nashi pear, guava, grapefruit and nutmeg with notes of earthy, leesy complexity.

There’s a Y in personality, and vice versa. Variety has a Y too, as does family and history. Yalumba’s Y Series is a range of fresh, fruity and lively wines that reflect the 160 year history of Australia’s oldest family-owned winery. There’s definitely a Y in quality; each varietal consistently provides great value for money and confirms Yalumba’s reputation as Australia’s finest independent winemaker. But don’t take our word for it, Y not find out for yourself?
